Marigny Opera House tickets & upcoming events

Imagine stepping into a space where history and vibrant arts collide, that's the Marigny Opera House. Back in 2016, it made waves by hosting the city’s very first all-female opera troupe, a bold move that still echoes in New Orleans' theater scene. The place itself feels cozy yet grand, with around 250 seats arranged in tiered balconies that are all about soaking up the sound and offering killer views. Those iron balustrades on the balcony? They’re original from when the building was first constructed, giving the whole joint a charming, old-school vibe. Getting there is pretty straightforward, just stroll east along Frenchmen Road from the music district, turn onto Marigny Street, and you’re in. If you’re on a bike, hop on the lanes on Esplanade Road, easy peasy. Want last-minute tickets? No worries, the Marigny Opera House makes it simple with a slick interactive seating chart that helps you pick the perfect spot. Whether you’re after intimate seats for a romantic night or planning to catch a wild show like Tambo and Bones from the front row, they’ve got you covered. Honestly, some of the best memories in New Orleans happen right here during live shows. It’s a true gem, quirky, historic, and always buzzing with energy.
